It is hard to believe that we are officially entering the 6th month of the year! Can you believe it?
The first have of this year has been a tough one for our staff. It feels like we have been constantly under attack, but God…
God has been so good and has shown us His mercy every single day. We have hosted 13 teams so far this year, and each one has encouraged us and motivated us to continue for the good of His Kingdom. God has also been teaching us through His Word. And, He has used many different people to tell us what He wants us to hear.
So, instead of focusing on how hard things are, and wollowing we have decided to find joy in the midst of hardships. We will continue the good fight, and we will do it with joy in our hearts and peace in our souls because we know where we are in God’s hands and we rest in His promise of a glorious eternity with Him.
Speaking of teams, we are now heading into our summer season, and we are so excited! We know God is going to use every team for His glory and we cannot wait to watch and see Him act. We are very grateful for each team that joins us, as we know it is no easy task to plan and raise funds, but we know God will honor your sacrifices. Please join us in praying for each team that will be here this summer. Pray for safety, for good health, for spiritual growth, and magnification of the Kingdom.
For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the
Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, I have not
stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation,
so that you may know him better.
Ephesians 1:15-17
I chose these three verses because the Pastor in our church has started a prayer service every Tuesday at 6:00am. Today as I’m writing this it happens to be Tuesday. And this morning we used these 3 verses as a prayer. A prayer for us to grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ (v.17). I can say that the only way to know more about Jesus is to read His Word, learn His Word, study His Word. I want to encourage you to be in His Word, to fall in love with His Word and to grow more in Him.
Serving Christ together,
Pastor Luis
Quick Side Note: For those donors 70½ or older, did you know that you can use your RMD (required minimum distribution) from your Traditional IRA as a QCD (qualified charitable distribution) to receive a tax break & help support your 501(c)(3) charity. Contact your IRA custodian for more information. This is not tax advice because we are not in that business! We just wanted to pass along something for you to check out.
